John Andrew Veuleman

     John began the study of art at the age of six, his continuing studies over the the years have produced an artist of polish and skill.  Oils and mixed-media Collages are his preferred mediums, landscapes and florals are John’s favorite subjects. 

     Veuleman, was chosen to be a member of the first class of the Louisiana School for Math, Science & The Arts,  located on the campus of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. There, he studied under Bill Bryant,  and Thomas Roberts.  While at Centenary College, in Shreveport, Louisiana, he studied under Professor Willard Cooper and with Bruce Allen.  John was assistant to Judy Godfrey, the Curator of the Meadows Museum, during his four years at Centenary.

     In addition to his studies in this country, he  studied in Italy and in Great Britain, where he received his Doctorate in Fine Arts.

     John has enjoyed the friendship and influence of notable artists, such as Francis Kalmbach and the legendary Clyde Connell.  Other favorite artists of Veuleman, include Grant Wood,  Edward Hopper and  Erik Fischi.

     Prices of his work range from the hundreds for his small paintings and studies, up to the thousands for his larger canvases. John takes a very realistic approach to his career and to his art.  He enjoys placing his paintings with those who enjoy them, as a result, his paintings hang in homes from New York to California.
